Our Island

Skye – The Misty Isle, famous the world over for its majestic scenery, unique light and Gaelic culture. Eilean a’ Cheò, The Isle of Skye, is the largest and most northerly large island in the Inner Hebrides. The island’s peninsulas radiate from a mountainous centre dominated by the Cuillins, and some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in Scotland. Skye has provided the locations for various novels and feature films and is celebrated in poetry and song.

From Skye Haven you can explore every corner of the Island. Within half an hours drive you will find places such as the iconic Dunvegan Castle with its excellent visitor facilities, the village of Uig from where ferries leave to the  Western Isles, Talisker Distillery where regular tours of the facility take place – and of course the world renowned Cuillin mountains – a mecca for walkers and climbers.
